U-M Leads All Programs in Players Picked in 2017 NFL Draft

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The 11 draft picks surpass the University of Michigan football team's previous record of 10, which was set in both 1972 and 1974 seasons. Nine of this year's selections came in the first four rounds, setting another program record.

• This year's figure led all schools and stands as the 12th most in draft history and is the third-highest total since the draft was reduced to seven rounds. Alabama had 10 draft choices this year, also a school record.

• The Big Ten had 35 total selections with Michigan accounting for 31 percent of the picks.
