Montemarano, Michigan strike first vs. Missouri

Ann Arbor – Michigan is one win from another trip to the World Series.

Michigan, the nation’s second-ranked team and the No. 2 NCAA tournament seed, is now the highest-seeded team remaining in the tournament after Georgia upset two-time defending national champion Florida on Friday.

The Wolverines had three huge defensive plays, first a catch in short center by Sierra Lawrence, then a stop at third by Lindsay Montemarno, and then three-time Big Ten Player of the Year Sierra Romero made a diving play to get the runner at second to stymie Missouri in the seventh inning.
