It’s weird to think that Michigan football is taking on the pride of the Big Ten this week, Northwestern. Believe it or not, the Wildcats have probably been the most consistently impressive team in the conference so far this season. They’re not better than the top tier, but for now they’re a pretty scary opponent.
Tell me if this sounds familiar: With mid-level preseason expectations, Northwestern has stormed out of the gate. It boasts a top-five defense, a shaky first-year quarterback (with the program, at least), and a solid running game. What I’m saying is these two teams are pretty similar.
