ANN ARBOR - Dylan McCaffrey and Nico Collins were together in Oregon for nearly a week last July.
McCaffrey, a four-star quarterback from Colorado, was already committed to Michigan. Collins, a four-star wide receiver from Alabama, was keeping his college options open while being recruited by the top programs in the country. Both high-level prospects were on the Hypercool 7-on-7 team at the Nike the Opening Finals, which gave them ample opportunity to work together and McCaffrey a chance to recruit on behalf of the Wolverines.
"Nico's awesome," McCaffrey told AL.com last July. "Obviously, I really want him to go to Michigan.
