ANN ARBOR -- In the midst of a stream-of-consciousness deconstruction of precisely how he thought his team decomposed, Purdue basketball coach Matt Painter stopped with a question for the assembled media.
"You guys want to hear this?" he blurted.
Well, yes, since what Painter offered was a perfect oral accompaniment for 40 minutes of visual artistry in how to dismantle the Purdue basketball team, which every NCAA Tournament hopeful with a video coordinator will tuck safely into its vault, just in case the best team in the Big Ten lands in its bracket next month.
