Measuring Trey Burke’s legacy at Michigan is an ongoing process, but the 2016-17 season marks a milestone for the former national player of the year.
This year’s edition of the Wolverines will be the first since their 2013 Final Four run to feature none of Burke’s former teammates. As a result, the connection to the former star is now more historical than personal for the bulk of U-M’s roster, marking the end of a cycle that Burke says went by faster than he expected.
“It was kind of hard to envision,” Burke said Friday at a youth camp he held in Ann Arbor.
