Michigan QB Jake Rudock "Further Along" Than First Thought

Michigan Wolverines quarterback Jake Rudock is "further along" in his recovery from bruising in the rib and torso area than head coach Jim Harbaugh expected, according to the Detroit Free Press.

"He practiced this evening and thought he would be a lot sorer than he was and there were a couple things he couldn't do," Harbaugh said, via the Detroit Free Press. "But overall, he was a lot further along than I thought he would be."

Rudock, who practiced with the team on Monday, was knocked out of Michigan's win over Minnesota in the third quarter. Backup Wilton Speight came in and threw the game-winning touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

Rudock has started every game for Michigan this season. His status for Saturday's game against Rutgers is undetermined.
