Michigan Football Recruiting: Wolverines Expected To Land Pair For Four-Star OT Targets

Four-star quarterback Joe Milton's commitment to Michigan over the weekend gave the Wolverines eight commitments in the 2018 recruiting class, and they appear ready to add two more.

According to Steve Lorenz of 247sports, four-star offensive tackles Jalen Mayfield and Ryan Hayes are expected to commit to Michigan very soon.

Haven't heard anything to suggest that 2018 four-star Jalen Mayfield will choose someone other than Michigan on May 23rd. The Wolverines are in full control of the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Traverse City (MI) West four-star Ryan Hayes is still expected to decide sometime in the near future, although a concrete date hasn't been set. This is another recruitment that Michigan is in full control of at this point.

Mayfield was originally committed to Minnesota, but after receiving an offer during an unofficial visit to Michigan on March 24, he decommitted from the Golden Gophers two days later.

The 6-foot-5, 255-pounder is ranked as the No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 105 overall prospect in the country by 247sports

Notre Dame is thought to be Michigan's biggest competition for Hayes, but the Wolverines are still the overwhelming favorite. The 6-foot-7, 252-pounder is ranked as the No. 8 offensive tackle and No. 95 overall prospect.
