Your Michigan Football recruiting news update for September 10th:
The Michigan Wolverines will host 4-Star 2016 Sachse (TX) cornerback Jared Mayden for an official visit this weekend. Mayden is currently a hard commit to the Oregon Ducks.
"I wanted to see Michigan this summer, but couldn't make it up there," Mayden said recently, via 247Sports. "I'm looking forward to taking my official. I really like the staff that Michigan has and their experience in the NFL means they know what it takes to get you to the next level."
Mayden is ruling out the potential for a flip, either.
"If I feel like it's a better fit for me, I'd (flip)." he said.
Rated as the #11 cornerback in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports, Mayden is currently expected to take the trip to Ann Arbor alone. He currently holds 43 offers from a who's who of top programs around the country.
