Michigan Football News: Joe Bolden, Joe Kerridge Named Team Captains

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh announced that senior linebacker Joe Bolden and fifth-year senior fullback Joe Kerridge have been voted as team captains - Kerridge for the offense and Bolden for the defense.

Bolden has posted 187 tackles, 12 TFLs and five sacks in 38 games of action, and was Michigan's leading tackler in 2014. He is also a candidate for the Lott IMPACT Trophy and the Butkus Award.

Kerridge has appeared in 36 career games at fullback, including 10 starts, and has carried the ball 12 times for 90 yards. He is also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten Conference performer.

Michigan opens their season at Utah on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
