Four-Star OT Jalen Mayfield Commits To Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines have picked up another commitment. Four-star offensive tackle Jalen Mayfield announced Tuesday that he's committed to the Wolverines. He announced his decision in a video, which is embedded below.

Mayfield had been committed to Minnesota. However, the Michigan product de-committed in March. Less than a month later, he pledged to the Wolverines over Michigan State, Iowa and Nebraska. It's a dream come true for Mayfield, who listed at 6-foot-5, 255-pounds

"The spring game, it blew me away," Mayfield told 247Sports. "The stadium was rocking. Not even half the crowd maximum was there and it threw me seeing all the support and how much the fans support everybody there, how they know everything about it I thought was extraordinary. I'd say the spring game was the deciding factor. It's amazing. I've always been a Michigan fan. To see the dream come true is unbelievable."

Mayfield is the No. 24 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 310 overall player in the 247Sports composite rankings. However, he's a Top 100 recruit and the No. 1 player from Michigan according to only the 247Sports rankings.

The addition of Mayfield moves the Wolverines up to No. 9 nine in the recruiting rankings. He's Michigan's ninth commit.
