TE Carter Dunaway becomes Michigan's first 2017 commitment

ANN ARBOR -- Jim Harbaugh now has a start on his 2017 recruiting class.

Birmingham Brother Rice tight end Carter Dunaway -- son of former Michigan tight end Craig Dunaway -- announced his commitment to Michigan on Friday night.

The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Dunaway is not yet rated by any of the major recruiting services.

Dunaway was a prep teammate of current Michigan freshman quarterback Alex Malzone and incoming freshman receiver Grant Perry last season as a sophomore at Brother Rice.
