Michigan football rumors: Fitzgerald Toussaint to be suspended multiple games

The latest from Ann Arbor regarding Michigan football . . .

Some huge developments have come to my attention tonight regarding Fitzgerald Toussaint's future with the Michigan football program. Toussaint, who was arrested for DUI in July and suspended from the Michigan football team indefinitely, will face either a 2 or 4 game suspension from the Michigan football team - with the amount of games depending on his dedication to earning his coaches trust during the month of August.

I was contacted by email from a popular Michigan football personality, who asked to remain anonymous, who asked that I report this news - his editor wouldn't allow rumors/speculation . . . good thing I don't have those restraints.

Toussaint reportedly will not practice for the first two weeks of fall camp and will be working out on his own, most likely at 6am up and down the stadium stairs. When he returns to the team, he will be on scout team and have to earn his way back into the starting lineup.

The minimum is that he will miss Alabama and Air Force, but would return in time to get some reps for UMass and be ready to face Notre Dame in South Bend. If he doesn't live up to expectations, we may not see him suit up until Purdue on October 6.

Stay tuned for more details as they emerge in the coming hours/days.
