Michigan fans launch campaign to lure Jim Harbaugh back to Ann Arbor #HIREHARBAUGH

Nov 23, 2014 - A group of Michigan students and alumni are collaborating to recruit Jim Harbaugh as the next Head Football coach at Michigan. The group has launched an innovative crowdfunding campaign that will aspire to raise $1 million from across the vast Michigan alumni and fan network. The $1 million raised will serve as a “signing bonus from the fans”, and will be donated to any charity of Jim Harbaugh’s choosing, so long as he decides to be Michigan’s next head football coach.

The campaign has received incredible interest and support thus far from across the Michigan network, and is aspiring to be the first campaign of its kind. “We, the Michigan family, care deeply about our program and its players. We understand that Jim Harbaugh has a very difficult decision to make, and we want to show him that there is no place like Michigan. We want to show him that tens of thousands of us are willing to contribute to the success of our program, his program. This platform will provide an avenue for the each one of us to have direct impact on the recruitment of our next coach and ultimately the future of our program and student athletes,” says the #hireharbaugh team, a group of Michigan students and alumni.

Current Michigan football coach, Brady Hoke, is expected to be relieved of his duties at the end of this season after another disappointing season. Jim Harbaugh’s name has immediately shot to the top of the wish list for Michigan fans across the country. has also been mentioned as a candidate for several other open positions across the NFL. Before Harbaugh successful career as an NFL quarterback, college coach and NFL head coach, he was a 4 year starter at Michigan, where he lead Michigan to a 1987 Rose Bowl and finished 3rd in the 1986 Heisman vote.
