Current top target sets official visit date

2015 three-star Gainesville (GA) athlete Chris Williamson has set his official visit to Michigan for next weekend on January 23rd.

Per Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247, "Williamson was visited by defensive backs coach Mike Zordich early Thursday morning, and Zordich was able to secure the visit from a player that has immediately become a top overall target for the coaching staff."

Williamson is coming off of a big week after receiving offers from Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Auburn, Notre Dame, North Carolina, amongst others. He is set to visit UNC this weekend.C

Michigan offers coveted Texas linebacker Jeffrey McCullough

The Wolverines have offered heavily-recruited Houston (TX) Aldine Davis linebacker Jeffrey McCullough, per 247Sports.

Listed as a three-star linebacker with a grade of 89, 247Sports ranks McCullough as the 20th ranked linebacker in the Class of 2016.

He currently holds offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Baylor, among others.

Harbaugh reaches out to four-star Washington commit

New Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh isn't afraid to make his presence known on the recruiting trail, as evidenced by him reaching out to four-star Washington OT commit Trey Adams.

"I've been hearing from Michigan -- last week they asked if I wanted to play at Michigan which is an offer pretty much," Adams told Realdawg.com Wednesday, via 247Sports. "I was very thankful and pretty much said I was a Dawg and that if anything was to change I would call them. But nothing will change [he added laughing]."

New Wolverines offensive coordinator Tim Drevno had extended an offer to Adams when Steve Sarkisian took over at USC, so Michigan looked to capitalize on that connection to perhaps convinced Adams to flip. However, he remains committed to coach Chris Petersen and the Washington Huskies.

"[Jim] Harbaugh called my high school coach so that was cool," said Adams. "I was a little [surprised] but I figured since Drevno went there that I might hear a bit. It was not really [hard to turn down Michigan] but it was an honor though."
