Michigan football already has six recruits for their 2016 class and now they have added the first member of their 2017 class. Carter Dunaway committed to Michigan yesterday. Dunaway is a tight end who currently attends Birmingham Brother Rice high school.
Dunaway already has a lot of ties to Michigan. His father Craig was a tight end under legendary coach Bo Schembechler in the early 80s, and his brother Jack is set to be a preferred walk-on this season as a defensive end. Dunaway was also a teammate this past season of Michigan freshman quarterback Alex Malzone. Those connections certainly gave Michigan a leg up and it makes the Dunaway commitment a strong one.
