Michigan Coaching Search: Sportsbook pulls Jim Harbaugh to Michigan wager off website after massive line movement

Despite reports that San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh is aiming to remain as an NFL head coach in 2015, one gambling website pulled a futures wager on Jim Harbaugh being named the Michigan Wolverines' next head coach after what appears to be a massive amount of money was bet on him being hired by the university.

According to Nick Baumgardner of MLive.com, "per Pregame.com's R.J. Bell, the betting site Sportsbook.ag yanked its prop bet after the odds made a massive leap from 8-1 to 2-1 on Friday. In order for a betting line to move that much that quickly, a rather large sum of money had to have been placed on bets that Harbaugh would become the team's next coach."

As Bell indicates, Sportsbook.ag was concerned that somebody with insider information was betting on Harbaugh's hire in order to secure a massive payday before the line moved.

"Sportsbook.ag afraid 'someone might know more about his coaching situation than us' so Harbaugh as next Michigan coach betting was suspended," Bell tweeted Saturday, via MLive.com. "Sportsbook.ag tells me action kept pouring in on Jim Harbaugh as next Michigan coach no matter how low they made the odds."

A former Michigan quarterback, Harbaugh's seemingly unsustainable relationship with San Francisco 49ers management has linked him to many an open head coaching job, both on the collegiate and NFL levels.
