Incredible Pictures From the Michigan vs Michigan State Football Game

I cannot fully express how happy I am that my Wolverines were able to finally defeat Sparty. I thought things couldn't get much better last year when we beat Nebraska, Ohio $tate and Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl all in a row. Yet, something about this win was oh so satisfying. Maybe it is that our home schedule is terrible this year (Illinois, MSU, Iowa and Northwestern at home... really!!???). But for whatever reason, any UM student can tell you that this win was really something special.

So as I do for every homegame, here are some of my best up close pictures from this weekend in Ann Arbor. And yes, of course we rushed the field!

Hoover Street was flooded 60 minutes before the game.

Band takes the field on a very cloudy afternoon.

See, the weather was not too fun. Very cold for the first half.

This was a new one, a helicopter flyover this week.

Is that MSU or Oregon we are playing? Sparty desperately wants to be as cool as Oregon. Wont ever happen.

Flash forward, the team comes flying to the student section to celebrate!

Brandon Hawthorne is this week's visitor to the student section.

This is just really awesome...

The MSU band tries to take the field to play. Not for long...

Paul Bunyan returns to Ann Arbor!

Pandemonium as the students start to rush the field.

Look who we spotted, former Michigan TE Kevin Koger and other UM football alumni.

The field was so crowded our band couldn't even get on the field.
