Four-star 2016 quarterback Messiah DeWeaver commits to Michigan Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines look to be set at quarterback for the next few years, after highly-touted four-star 2016 quarterback Messiah DeWeaver committed to the program on Wednesday.

Per Nick Baumgardner of MLive.com, "a 6-foot-3, 202-pound quarterback from Dayton, Ohio, DeWeaver announced his official commitment to Michigan via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon."

Currently rated as the ninth best pro-style quarterback in his class according to 247Sports.com, DeWeaver also had standing offers from Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Toledo, and Western Kentucky.

This marks the second quarterback commitment this summer for new Michigan offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier. Four-star pro-style recruit Alex Malzone verbally committed to the program in May.

DeWeaver is the second verbal commitment for Michigan in the class of 2016 - the first being four-star offensive tackle Erik Swenson out of Illinois.
