Longhorns Football News: Charlie Strong Doesn't Foresee Any More Five-Loss Seasons In Austin

The Texas Longhorns have won three-straight games to move themselves from also-ran status to bowl eligibility in under a month.

With all the upheaval that new head coach Charlie Strong's administration has embarked on in an attempt to change the culture of the program, losses were bound to come this year. However, Strong doesn't see that as an excuse for the five losses the team has incurred over the course of the 2014 college football season.

"I told the coaching staff it's on us," Strong said, via Max Olson of ESPN.com. "We were sitting here at 3-5 and I said we should not be pleased with where we are. At the University of Texas, that will never happen that, with our [track] record, we go out and get five losses. We're not comfortable with that."

Texas' three-game winning streak over Texas Tech, West Virginia, and Oklahoma State has been an impressive run of double-digit victories in the face of postseason elimination. However, Strong seems to be promising much more impressive things as the years go on in Austin.
