Michigan State's defense won the first scrimmage of fall camp but round two went to the offense.
In the second scrimmage of preseason practice, the offense beat the defense, 39-33, in overtime on Friday night at Spartan Stadium in a contest that utilized a modified scoring system.
"There was a lot of excitement out there tonight," coach Mark Dantonio said in a university press release. "I thought we played very well. We got the game to overtime, so that's always good. I thought we did a lot of good things. There's a lot of emotion and a lot of energy on our football team right now.
