Tom Izzo lost a son on Saturday evening. No, he didn’t have a loss in his actual family, but Eron Harris became one of his favorite players to coach over the past few years, even though his production on the court wasn’t always consistent.
Harris went down with a devastating knee injury which forced him out of the Purdue game as he was taken away on a stretcher. It looked bad and the news reflected that as it was made public that he would require season-ending, and MSU career-ending, knee surgery.
It was clear the impact he’s had on the team over the past couple of years as players, such as Miles Bridges, teared up as he was removed from the court on the stretcher.
