The ranking for Mark Dantonio may be right, but some of the names ahead of him are not.
There's no question the Michigan State Spartans have one of college football's best coaches in Mark Dantonio.
Prior to Dantonio's arrival in East Lansing, MSU had endured three straight losing seasons as part of the John L. Smith disaster regime. Since then, Dantonio's Spartans have been to nine straight bowl games, won three Big Ten titles and two BCS bowl games.
The latter two achievements have come since 2010 as very few college programs have had more success than MSU over that span.
