EAST LANSING, Michigan - Michigan State University men’s basketball head coach Tom Izzo and women’s basketball head coach Suzy Merchant announced changes within their basketball staffs. David Thomas will become the Director of Basketball Operations for the men’s basketball team after working with the women’s team last season. Alysiah (a LYE sha) Bond will become the women’s program’s new Director of Basketball Operations and Technology.
Thomas, who was a member of the 2000 Spartan men’s basketball national championship team, spent last season with the MSU women’s team in a similar position. Bond, who played in the NCAA Final Four at Ohio State, was most recently an assistant basketball coach at Wisconsin from 2011-2015.
