Michigan State was featured on ABC's Saturday Night Football twice last season (Oct. 4 vs. Nebraska; Nov. 8 vs. Ohio State).
The Sept. 12 game against Oregon will also be Michigan State's home opener. It will mark the fifth consecutive season the Spartans' home opener will be played under the lights.
Michigan State also opened at home in primetime against Oregon on Sept. 2, 1999, and came away with a 27-20 victory over the Ducks. The reigning Pac-12 Champions lead the overall series against the Spartans, 3-2, including a 46-27 win last season in Eugene. Michigan State has a 16-game winning streak in home openers, dating back to the 1999 win over Oregon.
