Over the course of the last few years much of the sports world has become well acquainted with “Marlins Man.” The superfan, who is an attorney by day named Laurence Leavy before turning into “Marlins Man” by night, has a reputation for showing up in some of the best seats at the sports world’s biggest games in full on Marlins regalia. He’s also forged a reputation for himself in the sports world as a charitable and empathetic figure due to the fact that he’s bought hundreds, if not thousands of tickets for perfect strangers and taken them to games with him.
