Marlins News Update - Tuesday's rainout reportedly moved to last series of season

In tonight's Marlins news update, while the Miami Marlins are still waiting for word on when Tuesday's rained-out contest with the Washington Nationals will be made up, all signs are pointing toward the teams' last series of the 2014 MLB regular season.

According to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, "manager Mike Redmond said he was informed it will be sometime during the final series of the season, Miami's last visit to Washington" with current indications leaning toward "either Friday, Sept. 26, or Saturday, Sept. 27, as part of a day-night doubleheader."

Regardless of when the game is rescheduled for, Redmond still beleives that Tuesday's contest was called before it should have been:

"I think it seemed early to call it," Redmond stated. "But that's their call and there's not a whole lot we can do about it, just be ready to play."

Redmond did however make light of the matter, talking about the beautiful stroll he had around Washington D.C. after the game was postponed.

"I did," he said about whether he had a nice walk. "I didn't even need an umbrella."
