MLB Trade Deadline: Marlins acquire RHP Jarred Cosart in six-player deal with Astros

It what could be one of the biggest under-the-radar deals from this year's trade deadline, the Miami Marlins acquired RHP Jarred Cosart from the Houston Astros in a six-player trade right before the 4:00PM EST cutoff time on Thursday.

Here's Joel Sherman of the New York Post with the particulars:

Per Sherman, the young pitcher previously mentioned is prospect Francis Martes:

On the Marlins' side, they pick up a 24-year-old potential future ace in Jarred Cosart. The righty is 9-7 with a 4.41 ERA in 20 starts this season, showcasing solid potential upside all year long. In addition, the Marlins pick up versatile young utility man Enrique Hernandez and outfielder Austin Wates.

For the Astros, they pick up two potential future lineup stalwarts in outfielder Jake Marisnick and third baseman Colin Moran, along with an unproven young arm in Martes and a 2015 compensatory draft pick.
