Former Marlin Coghlan Lead Cubs To 2-0 Win Over Fish

CHICAGO (AP) – Manager Joe Maddon is not concerned about the Cubs’ lack of offense – as long as they’re still winning.

Kyle Hendricks (4-4) allowed five hits, walked one and struck out six in 7 1-3 innings in Chicago’s 2-0 win Sunday over the Miami Marlins.

Cubs starters have posted a 1.08 ERA over their past six games, in which the team is 5-1.

“As long as you can pull some of this … magical stuff out while you’re waiting for the offense to come I’ll take it,” Maddon said.

It was the 10th game in their past 12 games in which the Cubs have scored two runs or fewer.
