UM's Mark Richt has 'confidence' 'Canes will soon get indoor facility

University of Miami football head coach Mark Richt speaks with quarterback Vincent Testaverde during a scrimmage Saturday at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach. Since being hired at Miami, Richt has stressed the need for the Hurricanes to begin working on an indoor practice facility. This week, he told the Sun Sentinel he believes the project will happen sooner rather than later.

Since his hiring as the Hurricanes football coach in December, Mark Richt hasn’t minced words when it comes to Miami’s need for an indoor practice facility.

He pulled no punches earlier this year after the Hurricanes pro day event calling it “sad” that 13 NFL hopefuls had to work out for scouts and coaches in a driving rainstorm on Miami’s campus.
