For the Hurricanes, Saturday was one last chance to impress coaches going into the offseason.
And a few of them -- including offensive lineman Navaughn Donaldson, cornerback Malek Young, and receiver Dayall Harris – all did exactly that, using the final scrimmage of the spring to add to, what they all hope, were strong performances during Miami’s 15 spring practices.
Saturday was also a chance for coach Mark Richt to return home, again.
With Hard Rock Stadium undergoing renovations and Richt not crazy about having the game at Fort Lauderdale’s Lockhart Stadium where it was held last spring, the coach opted to take the Hurricanes on the road to Boca Raton High, where he was once a standout for the Bobcats.
