FanRag Sports compared Lonnie Walker’s injury to Duke’s Harry Giles who had a very disappointing 2016-17 season despite being projected as a lottery pick. After early season injuries and knee injuries in high school, he wound up going 20th overall to Portland in the NBA Draft.
The Trail Blazers then moved him to Sacramento with North Carolina’s Justin Jackson who Portland selected 15th for Gonzaga’s Zach Collins who the Kings selected with the 10th overall pick.
Lonnie Walker was originally projected as a lottery pick in 2018. His injury seems to have that in doubt.
