MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat have announced that the team will retire center Shaquille O’Neal’s No. 32 jersey in a ceremony at the beginning of the 2016-17 season.
O’Neal will join Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway as the only players to have their jersey retired by the team.
Shaq’s career lasted 19 seasons in the NBA, where he won four NBA Championships and was named NBA Finals MVP three times.
He was selected to 15 NBA All-Star Games and was named All-Star Game MVP three times.
