Don’t count Josh McRoberts out

Though it seemed as if the Miami Heat couldn’t even give him away this summer, the team has told Josh McRoberts that he’s in the team’s plans for the season, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.

According to Jackson, the Heat reached out to go over his offseason training and “make sure everyone is on the same page.”

McRoberts, set to make $5.8 million this season, has two years remaining on his contract with a player option in 2017-18. It’s not a ton of money to pay someone given the recent cap spike, but it’s a very moveable sum of money.
