Breaking: LeBron James re-signs with the Miami Heat on multi-year deal

Breathe easy, Miami Heat fans. The King is returning to his court on South Beach.

LeBron James has just signed a multi-year deal to remain with the Miami Heat, ending weeks of speculation about the four-time MVP's professional future.

After spending 2003-10 with the Cleveland Cavs, James chose Miami in free agency during the summer of 2010 in a much-publicized, oft-maligned ESPN special simply titled "The Decision." Pairing up with good friends Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, James has helped lead the Heat to four straight NBA Finals appearances and two NBA championships.

With the return of James secured, it is very likely that both Bosh and Wade will follow suit. In addition to the signing of former Charlotte Bobcat Josh McRoberts, the Heat also seem intent on adding one or two more game-changing talents to team up with the celebrated trio - thus potentially keeping Miami atop the NBA heap for years to come.
