Rey Maualuga creates speculation he is signing with Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins appear to be closing in on their middle linebacker replacement for the injured Raekwon McMillan. Based on an Instagram story, former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga looks like he is signing with the Dolphins.

The Dolphins brought Maualuga in for a workout earlier this week, but he left without a contract at the time. The Dolphins also worked out Kelvin Sheppard, a former member of the team, but he recently signed with the Chicago Bears.

In eight seasons with the Bengals, Maualuga has recorded 599 tackles with four scaks, seven interceptions, 23 passes defensed, six forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
