Dolphins expecting at least two compensatory draft picks in 2017

The Miami Dolphins are presently fairly thin on draft picks because of a trade that produced receiver Leonte Carroo last year, but compensation for the franchise's numerous free agent losses last offseason should provide at least two more selections.

According to many experts the Dolphins should receiver at least two compensatory picks for the defections of defensive end Olivier Vernon, who signing a lucrative five-year, $85 million deal with the New York Giants, tailback Lamar Miller, who received a four-year, $26 million contract with the Houston Texans, receiver Rishard Matthews, who inking a three-year, $15 million contract with the Tennessee Titans, defensive end Derrick Shelby, who got a four-year, $18 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons, and linebacker Kelvin Sheppard, who left Miami and becoming a starter for the Giants after signing a one-year, $760,000 deal.
