Dion Jordan still hoping to make impact for Dolphins this season

DAVIE, Fla. -- There was early optimism that Miami Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan could be a factor for the team after his return from a year-long NFL suspension. However, health issues dampened those hopes and slowed Jordan’s progress.

According to Jordan, summer knee surgery and another setback to his meniscus delayed his comeback. The former No. 3 overall pick is still trying to get in football shape after being cleared to join the Dolphins shortly after the start of training camp.

Jordan remains on the non-football injury list until the team decides the defensive end is ready.
