Dolphins vs. Titans: 3 Things We Learned From Both Teams

The Miami Dolphins (2-3) looked like an entirely different team on Sunday than they have at any point in 2015, completely dominating the Tennessee Titans (1-4) in a 38-10 statement win. Here's three things we learned from both teams on Sunday.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins played with more intensity and vigor under interim coach Dan Campbell in this game than they did in the first four games combined under Joe Philbin. Miami's 2-3, so there's no reason to write them off just yet if this version of the team decides to show up over the next few weeks.

Lamar Miller rewarded patient fantasy football owners with a day worthy of his talent. He carried the ball 18 times for 113 yards and a score, consistent gashing the Titans front seven.

The Dolphins pass rush finally made an appearance on Sunday, constantly breaking contain and forcing Titans rookie Marcus Mariota to run for his life all day long.

Tennessee Titans

Tennessee's offensive line let the team down. Marcus Mariota was sacked six times and pressured into throwing two interceptions before being replaced late by Zach Mettenberger while Mariota was being fitted with a knee brace.

Mariota is prone to first-year mistakes, just like any other rookie quarterback in the history of ever. There's been a lot of pressure on Mariota to already play the veteran in Tennessee, but he still needs time to grow and learn to trust his progressions.

The Titans defense picked off Ryan Tannehill twice, but they couldn't do much more to stop the Dolphins either via the air or on the ground -- giving up 434 total yards and failing to maintain assignments over and over again.
