New O.C. lays out expectations for Ryan Tannehill in today's Dolphins news

In today's Dolphins news update, new Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Bill Lazor did a fantastic job last year as quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles - helping Nick Foles transition from relative unknown to star.

Per James Walker of ESPN.com, Lazor is looking to carry over the demanding style which got results in Philly to South Beach:

“I want to see the ball coming out on time, letting his football tell him when it’s time to throw it, and I want to see that he trusted us that this is how it all fits together,” Lazor said of his new starting quarterback, Ryan Tannehill. "The quarterback has got to play at game speed every day in practice. The receivers will catch up to him."

Miami's offense had a bit of a tough time in the first week of OTAs, making several mistakes as they seemed generally behind the defense from a readiness standpoint. However, Tannehill isn't worried.

“There’s still a learning curve. It’s not going to come overnight,” Tannehill stated this week.

“It’s going to take some time, not just for me but for all of our guys.”
