Season Summary:
An 8-8 record just seems perfect for the Miami Dolphins. They have a solid squad, but aren't ready to take the next step and enter the playoffs. They are pretty average across the board. The biggest issue for the Dolphins is a lack of star players outside of Cameron Wake. And no, Mike Wallace doesn't count. Perhaps Jarvis Landry can develop into that kind of player.

Team Needs:
1. Cornerback: Brent Grimes is a solid corner, but Cortland Finnegan and the rest of the crew are nothing special. An upgrade or two is needed.
2. Center: Samson Satele is a free agent. He struggled last season too.
3. Wide Receiver: Brandon Gibson struggled and cutting him would save over $3 million. The same goes for Brian Hartline. If one, or both are cut, a third receiver behind Mike Wallace and Jarvis Landry is needed.
4. Offensive guard: Daryn Colledge is a free agent and graded poorly on Pro Football Focus. Dallas Thomas could play full time at guard, but finding an upgrade might be smarter.
5. Defensive tackle: Jared Odrick was solid last season, but is a free agent.
6. Tight End: Starter Charles Clay is a free agent. Dion Sims could take over, but then a new backup would be needed.
7. Running back: Daniel Thomas, Knowshon Moreno and LaMichael James are all free agents. One or two should be resigned or Miami needs to bring new ones in.
