That’s the way Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio is looking at Ryan Tannehill’s potentially lucrative extension with the Miami Dolphins.
“From the Dolphins’ standpoint, it’s a bird in the hand from the perspective of they have a quarterback that could become a franchise quarterback,” Florio said on the Joe Rose Show. “Ryan Tannehill was on my radio show — PFT Live — yesterday and he said essentially he is not a franchise quarterback yet. This contract is a step along the path to becoming a franchise quarterback.
