Dolphins OTAs News: New offense to pay dividends for Mike Wallace

In today's Dolphins news update, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace believes that the team's new offense will turn him into a bigger offensive weapon than he was in 2013.

Per Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post, Wallace is impressed with the new scheme that former Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach and new Dolphins offensive coordinator Bill Lazor is installing during OTAs.

“Nobody can ever key on me,” Wallace said during practice Monday. “Last year, you kind of knew where I was every single play. When you move around, it’s harder for the defense to know where you’re at and it’s harder for them to adjust.”

Lazor has been installing a bunch of new plays into the team's arsenal, including one of Wallace's personal favorites, the double reverse.

“It’s fun,” Wallace said. “I don’t know if it’s extra motivation, but it just makes coming to work easier. It makes it more fun for when you know you can move around and do different things that I haven’t really done in my whole career.”

Wallace caught 73 balls for 930 yards and a career-worst five touchdowns last season.

2014 may be a completely different story.
