Dolphins News: Miami Adds Six Players To Roster For 2015

With the 2014 season in the books for the Miami Dolphins, the team has officially added six players to their roster. Since the team is no longer in-season, the roster is no longer confined to 53 players, giving the Dolphins the chance to start adding players they want to evaluate when training camp rolls around.

Here's the list of the six players added:

G Asper, Mark (6-6, 321, 11/8/85, 3, Oregon ’12)

QB Bethel-Thompson, McLeod (6-4, 230, 7/3/88, 3, Sacramento State ’11)

DE Dieke, Emmanuel (6-6, 257, 9/23/90, R, Georgia Tech ’14)

LB Knott, Jake (6-2, 243, 10/24/90, 2, Iowa State ’13)

CB Rose, Lowell (6-0, 192, 3/11/90, 1, Tulsa ’13 )

TE Stoneburner, Jake (6-3, 249, 8/25/89, 2, Ohio State ’13)

Bethel-Thompson is probably the most notable of the six additions here - a journeyman QB who spent the last three months on Miami's practice squad, Bethel-Thompson has frequently shuffled between various practice squads and active rosters since entering the league in 2011. All six players spent time on Miami's practice squad this season, with Stoneburner, Knott and possibly Rose joining Bethel-Thompson as contenders for a possible 53-man roster spot next fall.
