MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The old saying goes, "There's no place like home."
For the University of Memphis volleyball team, it hopes the friendly confines of the Elma Roane Fieldhouse gets it back on track this weekend when the Tigers host their American Athletic Conference home openers. Memphis welcomes league foes Connecticut Friday, Sept. 30 and Temple Sunday, Oct. 2 to the Bluff City. Friday's match is set for 7 p.m. (CT), and Sunday's encounter starts at 12 p.m. (CT).
Friday's showdown is Memphis' first home match since Sept. 3 – a span of 27 days.
