While resting her weary legs in Cincinnati, 25-year-old Margarett Frisby anxiously awaited a 4 p.m. phone call with the Grizzlies to discuss some reoccurring photos posting to the Grizzlies' Twitter account: the infamous "Memphis vs. Errrbody" Growl Towel from Game 3 vs. the Golden State Warriors kept popping up in scenic locations across the Midwest.
"I can't believe we're on the phone," said Frisby. "I've been trying to get ya'll's attention."
A bright yellow Memphis Grizzlies Growl Towel in the cornfields of rural Indiana certainly isn’t a sight regularly seen – not in Indiana Pacers territory. Then the towel would appear in Sparta, Kentucky.
