Three-star Potomac (Md.) running back Tayon Fleet-Davis has committed to play football at Maryland, his high school announced Saturday on Twitter.
Fleet-Davis is the No. 18 player in Maryland and the No. 38 running back in the class of 2017, per the 247Sports Composite. He’s high school teammates with cornerback Deon Jones, who committed to Maryland earlier this month.
Maryland does not have any other running backs committed in the class of 2017. The Terps’ big target in the class is DeMatha running back Anthony McFarland, but Fleet-Davis is no slouch either.
He released a Big Ten-heavy top four consisting of Maryland, Syracuse, Indiana and Iowa in June.
