Maryland’s Melo Trimble, Diamond Stone, Robert Carter Jr. and Jake Layman have been invited to next month’s NBA draft combine in Chicago, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

The combine, which will take place May 11-15, will allow the four former teammates to work out for NBA teams and further polish their stock before June’s draft. While Layman has graduated and Stone and Carter have hired representation, thus ending their respective careers in College Park, Trimble still has a major decision looming.

The NCAA introduced new rules in January that allows college players to work out for NBA teams and attend the draft combine but still preserve their amateurism by not hiring an agent.
