Maryland women’s basketball seniors Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough were unanimous selections to the All-Big Ten first team and were both named to the all-defensive team, the conference announced Monday.
Jones led Maryland in points and rebounds per game, averaging 19.2 and 10.7, and her .690 field-goal percentage leads the nation. This the third straight year she’s been named to the All-Big Ten first feam and the first time she’s been named to the all-defensive team.
Walker-Kimbrough’s 18.2 points per game were second on the team, and she also averaged 3.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Like Jones, this is her third straight year being named All-Big Ten, but it’s her second straight year being named to the conference’s all-defensive team.
