Maryland women’s soccer vs. Iowa final score, with 3 things to know from the Terps’ 2-0 loss

Maryland women’s soccer (3-14-1, 1-9) lost its eighth straight game Friday, 2-0 to Iowa (8-10, 2-8).

The Terps were once again sluggish on offense in the first half, getting outshot 8-3. Bri Toelle was the main threat on offense for the Hawkeyes, and scored in the 24th minute to give them the lead.

After controlling possession for most of the second half, Maryland allowed an easy goal in the 84th minute to seal the win for Iowa.

Like the past few games, the Terps were put on defense from the start. Iowa dominated possession, getting three corners in the third minute.
